Winter is the best time to prune many of your trees. Some of the many benefits include

-Reduce snow damage

-Reduce wind damage

-Produce more fruit/ more flowers

-Open up view

-Give more sun into the house/ yard

-Help to keep the tree in a nice shape.(branches in the face when mowing)

Wow the snow keeps on coming, with heavy vancouver island snow you have to remember that it could damage some of your shrubs. I would like to suggest that everyone goes outside with a old corn broom and knock the snow out of your shrubs carefully.  Also be aware of potential slides off you house, I have seen this cause damage as well.  If anybody wants a hand doing this or is looking for someone to shovel your driveway fell free to give me a call
